Delta Stageworks Theatre is thrilled to present a series of acting and improvisation workshops over 3 weeks in June 2026, led by acclaimed Canadian improviser and actor/director Jeff Gladstone and sponsored by Southlands Grange, Centre for Farming & Food.

Taking place on Monday evenings June 8, June 15, and June 29, the workshops offer participants of all background and ability the opportunity to step into the world of improvised theatre-making. No prior experience is necessary for most workshops led by Jeff—just a willingness to play, collaborate, and try something new. The series is fully accessible and inclusive.

THE IMPROV ‘STARTER KIT’ WORKSHOP – June 8 | 6:00–9:00 PM
A fun, welcoming introduction to improv led by Jeff Gladstone, perfect for beginners and community theatre-makers alike. Participants explore spontaneity, creativity, and collaboration through playful, no-pressure exercises.

JUST-FOR-LAUGHS IMPROV NIGHT – June 15 | 5:30–7:00 PM
This relaxed and laughter-filled improv workshop invites participants to connect, play, and explore creativity through theatre games and group exercises. Great for beginners, friends, or anyone looking for a fun night out.

IMPROV MEETS DEVISING THEATRE – June 29 | 6:00–9:00 PM
This advanced-level workshop explores improvisation as a tool for devised theatre creation, focusing on character, narrative, and physical storytelling. Participants gain insight into Delta Stageworks Theatre’s collaborative creative process.

A bit about the instructor: Last seen as the Detective in A 1920s Murder Mystery with the Delta Stageworks company, Jeff Gladstone brings over two decades of experience in film, TV, and theatre across Canada to the series. Presented at the beautiful Red Barn in Southlands Tsawwassen, the series invites community members, theatre-makers, and performing artists to explore creativity, performance skills, and community connection in a welcoming, supportive environment.
