Pottery Classes (Beginner) with Fiona Sizer

Back by popular demand, this fun and exciting course offers eight weeks of creativity and hands-on instruction from potter Fiona Sizer!

Dive into the world of clay as we teach you three awesome hand-building techniques: pinch, coil, and slab. Use these skills to craft your own unique masterpieces during the course and beyond! Previous participants have created everything from mugs and candle holders to bowls, planters, jugs, trinket dishes, shelves, boxes, and dinnerware. The possibilities are endless—what will you make with your new skills?

Explore the art of using forms (wrap and drape molds) and adding texture to your pieces with stamps, appliqué, and carving. You’ll also get to play with underglazes and glazes to give your creations that perfect finishing touch. Learn about the firing processes (bisque and glaze firings, completed off-site) and essential studio practices like safety, wedging, and reclaiming clay.

Join us every Tuesday evening from September 24 to November 19 (no class on November 12) for a fantastic time filled with creativity and fun!
