This workshop is for anyone curious about the body and ecology!
In a relaxed environment nestled in the exquisite Earthwise Society Demonstration Garden, we will engage in gentle movement-based and embodied meditative activities inspired by the natural world, connecting with our inner selves and our more-than-human kins. We will begin with a gentle warm up and mindfulness practice, be guided by nature imagery and inspiring movement scores, and reflect on our time together through drawing, writing, and/or guided conversations. All abilities and backgrounds are welcome.
Please bring a notebook and weather appropriate clothing and footwear.

Taught by Isabelle Kirouac: Isabelle Kirouac explores the poetics of the senses and more-than-human relationships through movement, immersive experiences and community-engaged work. Informed by dance improvisation and somatic work, her movement practice seeks to deepen her relationship with the land and other species. Isabelle co facilitates the Art & Fungi Project in collaboration with mycologist/artist Willoughby Arévalo, creating sensory experiences in relation to fungi and how they shape and connect our world. She presented her work across four continents and holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada, on the Coast Salish Territories, where she currently lives.
This workshop is made possible thanks to the generosity of Earthwise Society in providing access to their beautiful garden space.
