The Farm & Our Purpose

At Southlands Grange, the Community Farm isn't just land, it's the heart of our vision. It's where food, people, and place come together.

Why We Exist

We believe food and farming can build stronger, more connected communities. Our purpose is simple but powerful:

To activate a community-based farm and Market District that celebrates food and agriculture as both an economic and social hub.

We're creating a place where farming is visible and celebrated, woven into daily life. A place where you can meet the people who grow your food, walk through fields, and experience agriculture as part of a thriving neighbourhood. This is how we reconnect with the land, with each other, and with the culture of food.

Who We Farm With

Our Community Farm is made possible through the work of dedicated local farmers, educators, and stewards of the land. These are just a few of the incredible partners helping bring our purpose to life:

Honey and bees from the wildflowers of Boundary Bay, BC. Southlands Tsawwasen is home to a queen breeding and research project supporting pollinator health.

Farming has been in the Kelly family for over a century. Since 1896, four generations have worked the land in Delta, BC, producing fresh, locally grown vegetables, fruits, herbs, and vibrant flower bouquets.

Delta Community Farmers

A collective of local Tsawwassen gardeners cultivating a shared community garden at Southlands. It's farming on a neighbourly scale,  collaborative, educational, and rooted in place.

Earthwise is a not-for-profit environmental organization located in our Market Square. It is leading the charge on sustainability and education, helping people connect with nature and community through hands-on learning.

Harvie and Susan Snow have been farming organically since 1995 and in Delta since 2000. On roughly 110 acres, they grow over 60 crop varieties,  producing the equivalent of 100 semi-trailers each year.
